The Company

An established manufacturer of specialist construction safety and security products with a reputation for innovation and quality, seeking to appoint an experienced National Sales Manager to join their dynamic organisation and translate the sales strategy into a commercial business plan for their continued expansion.

The Role

We are looking for a committed, determined and experienced Sales Manager to lead a highly successful team where the key responsibilities will include:

Daily management of the External Sales team.
Joint development of the business strategy and setting objectives.
Development of the team to grow existing and new business at required gross margin and sales target levels for their individual regions.
Translate sales strategy to a commercial business plan and set clear objectives.
Managing the performance of the team including performance feedback / personal improvement plans.
Development and delivery of sales & product coaching as a part of individual development plans ensuring they are aligned to the business strategy plan.
Identification and development of specific market sector opportunities that are aligned to the business plan.
Monitoring and reporting on key KPI's .
Achieve the annual revenue and profit targets.

The Candidate

The successful Sales Manager is likely to be currently performing in a Sales Management position within a structured organisation.
A natural people person with extremely good interpersonal and communication skills.
A strong leader highly motivated and results driven, in addition they will possess excellent communication and motivation skills and will be able to demonstrate the ability to build long term mutually beneficial relationships both within the organisation and with customers at all levels.
3+ Years of experience in management positions in UK market.
Minimum 5 years of sales experience.
Strong leadership, mentoring & coaching abilities.
Ability to demonstrate the ability to sell value added products/solutions.
Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience with a customer relationship management system desired.
Team player, able to easily form relationships with clients at all levels.
Ability to travel throughout the country where necessary to accomplish the above responsibilities with significant field time
