All dentists, dental nurses, dental technicians, clinical dental technicians, dental hygienists, dental therapists and orthodontic therapists must be registered with us to work in the UK. The GDC employs approximately 350 employees across London and Birmingham. We also engage the services of over 500 associates and panellists who sit on our statutory committees, hearings and fitness to practise panels.
About the role:
We are looking for a People Coordinator to provide effective, customer focused coordination of administration and systems for all stages of the workforce lifecycle (employees and associates). The role will also represent the GDC positively and professionally and provide first response to external and internal queries, providing advice on HR issues as appropriate.
The recently formed People Services team comprises 16 members located in Birmingham and London. This role will support the wider People Services team in delivering the vision of putting people at the heart of everything we do.
You will have experience of providing a high quality HR support service in a busy and challenging environment. You will be highly proactive, self-starting and confident with the ability to use your initiative to anticipate the People Services team's needs without a high level of instruction. You will have excellent written communication skills including the ability to produce emails, letters, minutes, and reports that are accurate and in an appropriate style.
You will be highly organised and comfortable with multi-tasking and prioritising in order to manage a busy workload and meet competing deadlines. You will be proficient in the use of data-based systems with the ability to generate reports. You will be able to act with diplomacy and discretion and to safeguard confidential and sensitive information
