This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in transforming homelessness services and policy by building an evidence base of the experiences of homeless people. Working closely with peer researchers, not-for-profit partners and academic research departments, you'll design and deliver innovative, high-quality research projects. The Research Manager will embrace participatory methodologies that put lived experience of homelessness at the centre of all their work involving Peer Researchers throughout research and dissemination.

The main part of this role will be to design and deliver the peer-led research of our National Lottery funded #HealthNow programme based in Manchester, Birmingham and Newcastle. In each of these cities the Research Manager will oversee thematic health inequality research that will drive the campaign to create an inclusive health system for people experiencing homelessness. In addition, the Research Manager will oversee smaller pieces of commissioned research which form part of our successful social research consultancy and be actively involved identifying and securing new projects.

With a strong track record in undertaking timely and influential research projects, you're an excellent communicator, able to analyse and interpret complex written and numerical information. A passion for making the research process and practice accessible and inclusive to people experiencing homelessness is key to success in this role.

The successful applicant will join an inclusive and well-respected team that is at the cutting edge of delivering participatory action research. They will play a part in further developing our approaches and embedding lived experience at the centre of creating meaningful systems change.
