We are recruiting for an Electrical Shift Assistant (Power Management) based in the Stoke area, providing support on a critical power management contract. The role is office based, providing remote support and monitoring of power and electrical systems across the various facilities. The position requires a technically experienced candidate (not necessarily fully qualified) to be successful. Training and support is provided.

The role is a permanent position paying up to GBP28,800 incl. shift allowance.

6 on 6 off including 3 days and 3 nights 7 until 7

Duties for the Electrical Shift Assistant

Ensure that all alarm events presented into the Power Management Centre are recorded, and

acted upon correctly.

To log into all power alarm Telemetry systems on a daily basis, to constantly monitor the

Power plant infrastructure for new or existing alarms.

Ensure all tickets and events are correctly prioritised and managed through to fault clearance.

Interface with all alarm collection teams to ensure all Telemetry events are recorded and centrally owned within the Power Management Centre

Act as the single point of contact to all field based Power engineers working on live faults or completing routine maintenance actions.

Collect and publish all planned maintenance work schedules and programs for all sites, to confirm their success and completion. This would include on-load generator test schedules.

General system monitoring and recording of data

Requirements:

Must have basic electrical knowledge and experience

Must be well organised and be able to manage and coordinate several operations and issues

Ideally to have critical or data centre experience but not essential

Willingness and ability to complete shift pattern (including nights)

Basic IT and data entry experience
