The basics:

Operations Manager/Factory Manager

Hours: Mon-Fri core hours 8-5 however we can be flexible

Production: Runs on shift systems and operates 24/7

Salary: £55,000-£65,000 + Car allowance of £6,500

Benefits: Pension up to 8%, 33 days holiday, healthcare.

Environment: Medium to Heavy engineering - production

Structure: Full responsibility for the plant, reporting directly to the UK director and supported by Administration, Engineering Manager, Operations Manager, Health and Safety Manager.

Manufacturing plant consists of 100 employees

Location: Stoke On Trent

Overview:

With manufacturing sites located across the UK we now require a Factory Manager to join the business. You will have full responsibility of the manufacturing plant reporting only to the UK director who oversees all of the UK based production facilities.

The plant runs extremely well with no major issues but the key aspect of the role is the people. If you have a passion for getting the best out of people and processes this is the role for you.

The role in brief:
  • Responsible for the achievement of Factory Output, Targets, KPI's, including Quality, Cost, Delivery and the efficient management of site resources and manpower
  • Support continuous improvement work culture
  • Coach and Mentor
  • Carry our performance reviews and disciplinary procedures along with HR
  • Control budget and overtime spend

The ideal Operations Manager/Factory Manager will have as many of the following in order to strengthen application:
  • A strong background managing within a Production/Manufacturing environment
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of 'Lean manufacturing' techniques beneficial
  • ILM Management Cert
  • IOSH
  • Health and safety focused
  • Cost efficient/cost reduction awareness
  • Waste reduction focused
  • Competent at managing a large team of skilled and semi-skilled staff.

Location: Stoke On Trent. Commutable From: Stoke On Trent, Stafford, Crewe, Uttoxeter and surrounding areas.
