For the successful Facilities Maintenance Engineer our client is offering;

Permanent Position

The Role of the Facilities Maintenance Engineer will include:

Responsible for undertaking preventative and reactive maintenance in all areas of the site.
In conjunction with the line manager and as appropriate, source the services of external contractors that support the successful delivery of maintenance and improvement projects.
Plan and manage daily activities that ensure that all maintenance activities are delivered to meet the time and cost budget needs of the business.
Maintain inspection and maintenance records for all activities in central database.
To work flexibly, be the first point of contact and respond to site emergencies and breakdowns so as to ensure business continuity
Support operational staff with installation, commissioning, modification and general maintenance of plant and equipment as required.
Undertake safe machining operations where required.
Manage and control 'lock off' procedure and activities.
Undertake forklift truck and safe lifting/moving duties where required.
Identify, undertake and maintain appropriate risk assessments for all maintenance activities, equipment, and materials.
Maintain highest standards of company image and housekeeping in the design and performance of duties.
Take all reasonable steps to ensure own safety and that of others.
Undertake a review of contractor safety plans, assist to provide an induction to site and control whilst they deliver their service.
What our client is looking for in a Facilities Maintenance Engineer:

You must hold a formal Engineering qualification (BTEC/NVQ Level 3 or above)
17th/18th edition
FLT Counterbalance License
Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role
Competent with Microsoft office packages
Kaizen or 5S experience (advantageous)
