On the 'Making Headway' Project funded by The National Lottery
Stay’s primary role is to provide support and housing for young homeless people in Telford, across a range of services and housing schemes. Telford Mind’s primary role is to provide support for people who are experiencing mental health problems or emotional distress.
Working in partnership, the two organisations aim to provide a person centred counselling service for individuals that are accessing support, through Stay’s supported accommodation.
We are looking to appoint:
Counselling Co-ordinator (Level 5 qualified)
This post is 15 hours per week @ £11.50 per hour.
The main duties will be to build the capacity of the counselling base provided at Telford Mind so that the service can develop to meet identified needs; this will ensure that waiting lists are reduced, support is increased for those with more complex and long term needs, new projects are given in-house support and a training base is established
15 hours per week @ £9.00 per hour.
The main duties will be to liaise between the service users of the Making Headway project and the project workers to communicate and co-ordinate the projects activities to achieve the best utilisation of resources and outcomes for the service users. To ensure that the service users are involved in the development design and activities of your project. To gather, monitor and log feedback on the service.
One to One Listener
15 hours per week @ £9.35 per hour.
The main duties will be to provide a one to one Listening Service for individuals over an agreed number of sessions. The listening service is a short term service, and can provide support prior to or after receiving counselling.
We are also looking for Counsellors in their final year of training who are looking to carry out their voluntary placement hours. All candidates must have a full, valid, UK driving license and car insured for business use as mobile work will be necessary within these roles.
