SSE Audio Group has a vacancy for a full time Management Accountant at its Headquarters in Redditch. The role involves assisting the Financial Controller with all aspects of management accounts.

Management Accountant Responsibilities:

Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts, including P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flows
Co-managing a detailed reporting model within MS Excel
Calculation of detailed stock reconciliations
Calculation and posting of accruals and prepayments
Calculation and posting of depreciation
Other sundry journals and adjustments required to produce accurate accounts
Reconcile and manage Hire Purchase accounts
Balance and manage Petty Cash at multiple UK locations
Involvement in budgeting and forecasting as required
Involvement in Year End accounts preparation, including liaising with external auditors
Involvement in VAT and other HMRC/ONS reporting
Other tasks as required by the Management Accountant or senior management
Management Accountant Requirements:

At least 2-years experience in a similar role
5 GCSE grade C (4) or above (or equivalent) to include English and Maths
Educated to degree standard or equivalent (preferable)
AAT fully qualified status (Essential)
Experience of a fast-paced reporting environment and ability to work under pressure
Strong understanding of key accounting concepts, double entry, accruals and prepayments etc.
Knowledge and ability to create draft financial statements from a trial balance
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
High level of numeracy and literacy
Self-motivated with the initiative and ability to work unsupervised, whilst maintaining links with the wider team
Candidate must have the right to live and work in the UK
Experience of a group reporting environment (Preferred)
Knowledge of Sage financial packages, and database interrogation (Preferred)
