My client within the Shropshire Council in Bridgnorth has a fantastic opportunity for an Administration Officer to join their friendly and welcoming department on a temporary contract covering long-term sickness. You will be able to demonstrate a high level of organisational ability, paying attention to detail and be able to relate with other people at all levels.

The hours for this post are 22.5 hours a week, covering over a 3-day period between Monday and Wednesday and is paying GBP9.74 per hour.

Duties.

* Provide comprehensive and confidential secretarial and administrative support to the Highway Maintenance team and their direct line manager.

* Arrange and support meetings including preparation of agenda and distribution of other relevant paperwork, attending and recording meetings. monitoring progression of any action points etc.

* General office administrative tasks such as handling mail, telephone calls, general enquiries, operation of office equipment.

* Enter and update information into the data management system.

* Contribute to the maintaining of the records of income and expenditure; including the committed and spent orders within

* Create, develop and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, service users and external contacts.

* Observe, promote and practice confidentiality on contractual and personal information they are privy to in their role.

* Collate, record and process the timesheet information for out of hours work undertaken by their team and submit to Payroll in accordance with internal policies and processes.

* Assisting the team and Highway Maintenance Manager with confidential record-keeping and paperwork required by Human Resources.

Essential Skills.

* Competent in all Microsoft.

* Work organization and presentation skills.

* Clear understanding of confidentiality.

* Experience of taking and producing accurate and comprehensive minutes of meetings.
