A well-renowned company are looking for a German Business Development Manager to join their expanding team, to develop new sales in Germany. This is a fantastic position for anyone looking to further their career in this field and grow with a team for one of the UK's leading manufacturing firms. Negotiable circa GBP40k plus benefits (company car with fuel card, laptop, iphone) + commission negotiable on appointment.

The Role:

  • Developing the company's market share in Germany
  • Maintaining, managing and sourcing a portfolio of existing and new distributors
  • Developing sales to achieve and surpass targets
  • Managing the commercial trading with customers, negotiating trading terms, pricing and agreements
  • Completing market research to focus on gaining new business
  • Achieving sales conversion from competitor products to ours
  • Working in partnership with distributors to support sales growth
  • Liaising with Export Sales Manager to develop marketing strategies for Germany and new


  • Managing in-country trade events

Candidate Profile:

  • Fluent in English (written and spoken) - Essential
  • Fluent in German (to a native level) - Essential and native preferable
  • Previous industry experience attained from waste management or municipal-desirable
  • Previous experience working in an international & export context
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Target driven/results orientated
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Confident, proactive and dynamic personality
  • High commercial awareness
  • Additional language advantageous (French, Dutch, Danish, Spanish or Italian)
  • Frequent field work in Germany but candidate must be based in the UK, or be willing to re-locate
