Working for a leading Global business to the water industry, in a state-of-the-art facility, you will provide engineering support to the R&D function, including leading and participating in new design projects to meet customer specifications and applications.

Liaising closely with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Assurance, Production including these departments in the UK and other client locations, you will be tasked to ensure that the objectives and plans to complete product design, prototype sample production and component specification definition are achieved and successfully transferred to the Manufacturing and Production teams. Typically you will:

* Generate and control technical drawings using Solid works

* Responsible for fulfilling the design requirements supplied by either production or customer specification involving 3D modelling, detail drawing and liaising with Manufacturing Engineering.

* Manage the production of first samples of the new components, either in conjunction with Manufacturing Engineering or via liaising with a customer, in support of customer validation protocols.

* Work in close conjunction with Manufacturing Engineering to specify changes to tooling, for new component manufacturing trials.

* Procure parts and materials necessary for the job

* Provide support for new design projects to comply with customer specifications and applications

* To support the design of new and prototype tooling; Manufacturing Engineering; and Quality Assurance, as required.

* Run trials of prototype samples including material evaluation

* To generate rapid prototype parts to meet the expectations of both internal and external customers

* Take a structured, analytical, approach to product design in order to interrogate customer requirements, manage and execute the design evolution of components to meet those requirements.

Due to the flexibility within the existing team, this opportunity will suit either a recent Graduate or a more experienced Engineer looking to further develop skills and experience. Experience of, or the ability to complete the following is to be considered:
