This is a technical role within the Providence Support Department and stationed in our main office in Harewood End, Hereford, UK. In this role you would look to deliver best in class support within our industry and will work closely with our end users in UK Government Agencies. Over the phone, in email and in person you will be required to assist both our sales team and end users to implement the best outcome achievable with our products and services. Primarily focused on Surveillance and Intelligence supporting government security and defence, you will need to have an operational understanding, problem solving mindset and be open to new ideas to help keep Providence at the forefront of the industry. Travel will be required regularly within the UK and outside on occasion.

Day-To-Day Tasks
  • Provide Technical Assistance to our end-users and sales team, both pre-sale and post-sale
  • Keep track of ongoing technical requirements including RMA processes and facilitating ongoing relations from a technical point of view.
  • Manage stock of demo and loan equipment, making sure that resources are used to the fullest.
  • Help to provide literature and presentations for our sales team to better demonstrate what is possible with our products and services
  • Give training and support to help customers excel in utilising our solutions.

Position Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in a Technical Support role at least
  • Basic or intermediate understanding of IP networking (CCNA+)
  • Moderate experience of working with surveillance systems, IP cameras, NVRs and other surveillance tools
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot both hardware and software across different products
  • Working knowledge of Windows operating systems and servers
  • Market knowledge is beneficial
