Shropshire Young Farmers
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and self motivated County Co-ordinator for Shropshire Young Farmers’ Clubs, based at the centrally located County Office at Shrewsbury Livestock Market. Shropshire YFC is one of the largest County Federations in the Country, covering 18 clubs and supporting over 800 members.
Reporting to the County Organiser you will be supporting Clubs and County Committees with their competitions, charity work and social programmes.
Key requirements for the role are excellent organisational, communication and IT skills, along with drive and enthusiasm.
Your working hours will include occasional weekends, most Thursday evenings and 3 or 4 other evenings a month. Experience of working with volunteers, young people, budgets, databases and grant applications would be benefi cial, along with a good knowledge of Safeguarding and Health and Safety to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the members aged 10 to 26. However, training for the right candidate will be given.
The role is currently part time (25 hours per week) with flexible working hours. However, full time or job share will be considered. A salary of circa £23k (pro rata) is offered together with a pension and 28 days holiday per year (pro rata). A full driving licence and access to a car insured for business use is essential.
