On behalf of my client we are looking to recruit a Head of Fostering who will lead a small friendly team and work within our outstanding independent Fostering Agency based within Malvern, West Midlands.

You must hold:-

A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW)
A valid HCPC registration
Must hold a Level 4 Diploma in Leadership and Management or if not must enrol at Level 5 in the first 6 months of the job
Have at least 2 years' experience relevant to fostering within the last 5 years and 1 years' experience of supervising and managing professional staff
Will be registered with Ofsted as a Registered Manager
A working knowledge and understanding of the current legislation and frameworks relevant to Children Social Care and Fostering
A full driving license and use of a car is essential for this position, due to travel (Car Allowance is available).My clients fostering services provides high-quality, stable foster care placements in warm and welcoming family homes in the West Midlands and South West of England for:

Children and young people up to the age of 18
Sibling groups (brothers and sisters)
Parent and child placements
Unaccompanied asylum seeking children.By delivering a comprehensive package of support, we help vulnerable children unlock their potential and face their adult lives with confidence and a sense of worth.

Lead and manage the fostering agency, ensuring the effective and efficient delivery of fostering services
Develop the service nationally
Managing services which provide young people with safe, secure and appropriate placements, enabling them to fulfil their potential, whilst meeting legislative and regulatory requirements
Develops and maintains effective working relationships with relevant outside agencies such as Ofsted, Local Authority Contract and Placement teams, the Fostering Network, BAAF etc. Maintains all appropriate contact with such agencies dictated by regulation and to ensuring a positive and professional image of the service
Manages, implements and monitors all policies, processes and quality assurance standards which relate to the fostering process ensuring the company meets its obligations with regard to legislative and statutory provisions whilst ensuring young people in care are able to achieve their potential.The salary is GBP57,100 per annum + car allowance
