Purpose of Role:

Attending customer sites on a reactive/planned/installation request basis to carry out work as required. Working closely with office-based scheduling team to ensure your diary is scheduled as efficiently as possible. Promoting the professional engineering service that our company can give to all customers and providing excellent levels of customer service.

Duties & Responsibilities

* Delivery, installation and validation of new equipment

* Carrying out scheduled maintenance as required

* Attending breakdowns and resolving to completion of repair

* Carry out site surveys as required

* Accurate recording of data to complete reports both internally and to customers

* Carrying out work within contract guidelines or advising customer if any additional costs incurred

* Completion of job related paperwork and e-forms efficiently and professionally

* Managing your own spare parts van stock levels.

* Providing technical assistance to customers, office staff and fellow engineers

* Assisting customers with advice in all areas of engineering, equipment performance and regulatory compliance

* Promotion of equipment sales and contract consolidation options available to the customer

Standard Company Requirements

* To comply with all Health and Safety requirements as outlined by the Health and Safety Executive and business.

* To participate in all relevant quality programmes and assist as required in quality initiatives.

* To comply with the guidelines of the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) to maintain an awareness and understanding of regulations that apply to the post.

* Where the role includes any task relating to the purchasing, storage or sales of medicines, an understanding of the principles of Good Distribution Practice (GDP) is required.

* At all times the post-holder should act in a way that supports the Company in maintaining its essential licences and certifications.

* To ensure PPE issued by the business is worn in accordance with Health & Safety legislation.

* Training is undertaken as recommended by your Manager.

* Carry out any other reasonable request as requested by your Manager.

Experience Required:

* Previous engineering experience (any discipline) in reactive and/or planned maintenance

* Field based role experience

* Customer service experience

Qualifications Required:

* HNC in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering desirable or equivalent vocational experience
