Bid Director. Location: West Midlands. Salary: from GBP80,000 + car + benefits!

Green Recruitment Solutions are currently seeking a Bid Director for a leading facilities management company seeking to build/ expand its environmental services business.

The Role:

* Responsible for effective business growth

* Developing new businesses benefit from new and existing contract relationships in partnership with partners in marketing and Operations to bid for new contracts with the objective to achieve monthly and yearly economic and sustainable development goals

* Owning the sales process for the bidding portfolio

* Supporting contract negotiations, project administration, bid and transition process pricing and dispute resolution, sales and benefit creation and collaboration with colleagues from the Commercial & Legal Teams

* A key element of the role is to develop value propositions and new capabilities for the Customer Services business in accordance with the overarching strategy including the business case for investment in new capabilities.

* A key component of the position for Customer Services is to create quality ideas and new capabilities in conjunction with the overall approach, including the business case for new capacities development

* Supporting the Business Development Director, developing sales pipelines, upstreaming operations, pre-sales and pre-tender client meetings and engagement

* Advising and provide guidance to the wider Customer Services bidding team to ensure clear and high-value competition across all BU opportunities


* A candidate well-experienced working within the outsourcing environment

* Work experience with local officials, business experts, and influencers from the waste management industry

* A wealth of experience in bidding, operational excellence, business development, project management, commercial management, technical delivery, budgetary control and developing strategic plans, etc.

* Must have extensive experience in leadership, management and influencing the bidding and sales department

* Proven development performance and a strong sales record handled individually and closed deals in GBPmillions

* Excellent relationship management and networking skills

This is a home-based role with extensive North West and South England travel.
