Position

We are looking for a Software Development Technician based in our offices in Worcester. This is a Level 3 software development apprenticeship role. The successful candidate will be assisting with the delivery of software and services in line with Open GI's customer requirements.

Key responsibilities

* Work closely with development team to deliver software solutions in line with Open GI's customer requirements.

* Hands on delivery of software & services, working as a member of cross-functional development team.

* Produce, unit test and document manageable code that adheres to standards.

* Contribute to a continually improving software development framework.

* Liaise with team members to establish and implement requirements and support with the resolution of live operational issues.

Requirements

* An I.T. Qualification or Certification, or working towards

* Microsoft Professional Qualification (advantageous)

* Exposure to working on software applications or databases (advantageous)

* Problem solving and analysis skills

* Ability to plan tasks to achieve deadlines

* Strong communications skills

Salary of GBP12,000 per annum.
