Trade Sales Administrator

An excellent opportunity to work for a well-established, award-winning and highly successful British manufacturer in a wonderful rural location as a full-time Trade Sales Administrator. Permanent position in a very friendly team, it's fast faced and certainly pressured at peak times, so you will need to be able to multi task and work well with colleagues throughout our company of over 60 people. Business to business sales support and detailed order administration for our brilliant UK trade distributors in the corporate gift and promotional markets. Full training on our products, services, artwork & systems will be given in a structured training program to support you in making a great success of your new role.

Main duties include: -

* Responding to incoming email and phone enquiries from customers in a timely manner - adhering to our industry leading Service Level Standards

* Providing customers with quotations using our bespoke quote system

* Processing your own orders through the same system

* Negotiating on price, delivery and specifications with customers and production management

* Following up your quotes with customers in a timely manner

* Customer service of the highest level

* Liaising with our factory to check the progress of existing orders

* Maintaining and developing relationships with your own accounts via telephone calls and emails

* The position does not require cold calling

Required Skills: -

* Attention to detail is critical

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills

* Good computer skills

* Efficiency & the ability to prioritise your own workload

* Relationship building

* Follow existing systems & processes

* Minimum grade C and above Mathematics & English at GCSE level (or equivalent)

* Must have at least 2 years previous administration experience in a busy environment using a database

Advantageous Experience / Skills: -

* Knowledge of different print methods

* An eye for good design and colour

* Apple Mac computer use

* Own transport required due to the location of the company

Office hours are 8.30am to 5.30pm with morning and afternoon drinks breaks & a half hour for lunch. Annual holiday is 28 days including bank holidays (bank holidays account for 8 days). An annual factory shutdown at Christmas that accounts for 3-4 days is included in the holiday allocation. Salary: Circa GBP19K depending on experience, plus bonus after the trial period
