Teaching Assistant for Children with Social Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties - (All Subjects Considered)

Duties and Responsibilities

To support pupils with IEP's for social, emotional and behavioural difficulties.

To prepare for exciting lessons that motivate and inspire pupils who are reluctant to learn or have had bad experiences in mainstream schools.

To provide a caring and nurturing approach to vulnerable pupils

To collaborate with colleagues to share good practice

To follow and meet all the relevant Teaching Assistant Standards

To have a good and thorough knowledge and understanding of the Primary National Curriculum


Experience and Education Requirements

All levels of Teaching Assistant Qualifications are acceptable or Experience of working with children with additional needs

Experience of working with children with behavioural difficulties is essential

Restraint Training is desirable but not essential
