Horizon Search & Selection are currently seeking a Production Print Technical Trainer for our impressive globally renowned client.

The company are a multinational Imaging and electronics company and this position will be working from the site based in Telford, Shropshire. Primarily this site is responsible for the manufacture of eco-friendly and versatile wide format document centres and large format printers and professional printing solutions.

The ideal candidate will be a technical specialist who can deliver effective training to a wide range of audiences which include peers and customers. This role is key to the success of both commercial and industrial print business and will be responsible for delivering technical training for the company's high-end products. Reporting to the Learning Delivery Centre within the Customer Experience Centre, the successful candidate will be required to facilitate and deliver end-to-end technical training to end-users and technical specialists within the organisation's operating companies, distributors and partners.

Duties and Responsibilities include:

* To ensure that technical service personnel acquire the skills and knowledge to support both current and future production products, ink based printers and controllers. All training will be provided according to the strategy and portfolio from the company Technical Academy

* To keep up to date with latest trends for training and related products to ensure optimal training results

* Lead development and implement blended training programs using appropriate and best practice training delivery methods

* Deliver technical training to engineers from various organisations including high-level end-users of all customers on the allocated products, to develop skilled employees to support the company strategy and meet targets

* Conduct post training evaluation of candidates to ensure target skill level has been achieved

* Support all operating companies with the implementation and facilitation of training curriculum in their organisation. Liaise with customer to ensure that training is personalised according to customer specifications and requirements

* Assist in the development of the Europe Learning Management System related to a training module and upload the applicable training material (presentations, exercises and exams) in a consistent manner ensuring a high level of quality

* Independently manage training related projects to ensure a professional result

* Maintain and update effective training plans to ensure these are co-ordinated within budget and the status is fully informed to relevant parties

* Support students and visitors with long stay assignments

* Collaborate with internal departments to deliver high quality training

* Undertake Health & Safety activities such as full and rapid risk assessments of tasks and occasional working under permit to work

* Actively contribute to Continuous Improvements activities, Kaizen, applying 5S standards in all areas and ensure all work is compliant with Health & Safety standards and risk assessments

For this interesting and involved role, we are seeking a talented Engineer who has a proven background within a similar role and a passion for learning.

Other skills and attributes include:

* Educated to HNC level or equivalent within an Engineering Discipline (Mechanical or Electrical)

* Knowledge of Commercial and Industrial high-end print products and print hardware

* Project Management Skills

* Problem investigation & fault finding skills

* Ability to understand commercial & industrial printing environments

* A desire to keep up to date with Electrical and Electronic Systems/ Mechanical and Automation Systems and Software solutions

* A Proven background within engineering and ideally relevant experience in print hardware or experience of delivering technical training

* Outstanding teaching and presentation skills
