Headline: We are looking for an aspiring or experienced technical architect to join an award-winning software consultancy who are looking to build a new expert team in Birmingham.

Salary: GBP60,000 - GBP85,000

Location: Birmingham city centre (maybe Nottingham)

Ideal candidate: An agile focused individual with an extensive background in development using Java, C# or .NET. Either is ready to step into an architecture position, or has already made the move, but wants to work somewhere more progressive!

An autonomous, empowered technical architect role with a trail-blazing, award-winning software consultancy - sounds great right? Well, there are no catches with this one. It's 100% wysiwyg!

You'll be joining a workplace of expertise amongst peers, giving you the opportunity to exchange ideas and do your thing with fellow experts who care deeply for what they create/deliver. There is a lot of opportunities to develop yourself and your career, with the company offering support for professional development and to stretch your skills on new large scale, high profile projects every few months.

Working in a newly established office, you'll need to quickly learn how to add value to customers and Agile teams you work with. Someone who follows best practice, sets high standards and is very delivery-focused would thrive in this role. As a senior person in this fresh office, you'll be a key part in shaping a newly established team.

You will be at the centre of their engagements with clients, assessing the technical implications of solutions and sharing insight, whilst also bridging the gap between the technical and non-technical elements of a successful delivery. By bringing an extensive knowledge of Cloud based Java and/or .NET software architecture to the table you'll lead by example, adapting to the needs of the project and different customers.

You'll be rewarded with an excellent salary up to GBP85k + the potential for bonuses, healthcare and other benefits. You will travel to customer sites with your colleagues fairly regularly (mainly across the Midlands) so you need to be flexible, although you'll not be living out of a suitcase in hotel rooms!
