The role

You will contribute to the design, development, delivery and support of business solutions adhering to Iress' software development life cycle and delivery process. Leading technical work-streams in projects, as well as provide guidance and actively contribute to development best practices. You will provide technical leadership on projects and coaching/mentoring of junior team members.

What you will be doing
  • You will design and develop software components within an agreed time frame and defined quality standard.

  • This is a backend focused role and you will be working with a Microsoft tech stack, primarily using C# .Net and SQL Server

  • Resolve complex issues, defects and queries raised at any phase of delivery or production in a timely and professional manner by ensuring all relevant resources are identified and utilised

  • Maintain a high level of unit testing coverage of items developed

  • Conduct quality reviews of own deliverables and deliverables from all levels of the delivery community

  • Provide and review estimates for all aspects of technical development across projects and proposals

  • Mentor and coach more junior team members

  • Have a client centric focus and support the client to ensure positive client outcomes and advocacy

What you will need
  • You will have extensive commercial experience of working in either a Backend or Fullstack Developer role with an excellent working knowledge of the Microsoft tech stack

  • Experience of working with a variety of different file formats including XML & CSV and transferring data from one to another is required for this role

  • You are able to prioritise and coordinate activities, handling multiple tasks across multiple projects

  • You are able to work well under pressure and manage own time appropriately

  • You are able to work well on an individual basis and within a team You are able to build good relationships with teams and clients

  • You are self-motivated and proactive, with a positive attitude

  • You are innovative with ideas to increase effectiveness of people and processes
