2. Purpose

Primary responsibilities :

?? Supporting participants to achieve improved health outcomes by adopting a coaching approach

?? Delivering group-based education and awareness sessions (typically 90 minutes to up to 15 participants)

?? Delivering brief one-to-one basic health assessments, including pinprick blood testing and recording height & weight

?? Working effectively with the Health Coordinator and Regional Manager to ensure seamless customer experience and the highest quality delivery of Health programmes

?? Completing documentation in a timely and accurate manner

Educators will also support with :

?? Sourcing of appropriate local venues, including appropriate checks, documentation and liaison as required

?? Local marketing activity as required

?? Gathering participant feedback and experience

3. Key Duties

Session delivery

?? To follow the prescribed training programme for NDPP Educators, which will include:

o Attending training (may involve travel in order to attend)

o Committing to a mentorship programme delivered locally by an assigned mentor

o Using the development work book and other resources to support ongoing development as an Educator

?? To deliver the NDPP curriculum to participants in an area, ensuring participants achieve and experience the right learning outcomes

?? To work as part of a team to effectively deliver the NDPP sessions according to the curriculum and using the appropriate resources.

?? To manage group dynamics and support collaborative working

?? To ensure patient confidentiality at all times

?? To participate in personal development and reflection through giving and receiving feedback on performance as an Educator

?? To be prepared to study in own time (e.g. using development work book, curriculum and training materials and preparing for sessions)

?? To carry out self-evaluation after delivery of every NDPP education course

?? To participate in the NDPP Training and Quality Development Framework

?? Create a safe environment by demonstrating active listening, group contribution, and facilitating the session appropriately

?? Ask open questions and deliver in a non-judgemental way

?? Maintain Duty of Candour responsibilities at all times

Participant assessment

?? To complete Initial Assessments and Point of Care blood testing for participants in accordance with both NICE and Ingeus guidance and input the information accurately

?? Maintain accurate patients records on all patients using electronic and paper records

?? Ensure that all medical equipment is in date, well maintained and adequate supplies are available

?? Ensure clinical waste and sharps materials are disposed of safely

General

?? To participate in the promotion of good working relationships with internal and external colleagues and stakeholders

?? To attend team meetings and keep up to date with Ingeus Policy updates
