Children's Support Worker - Temp - Perm

Your new company

Hays work in partnership with Residential Children's settings across Coventry and Warwickshire and are looking for experienced support workers to join a friendly and supportive team in the Warwickshire area.

Your new role

In this position you will be supporting young children with complex behavioural needs. They children are between the age of 8 - 16. To succeed in this role you will provide consistency for the vulnerable children and so are expected to work on a 4 week rolling rota including some waking night shifts. The balance is stable with multiple back to back days off. The position is temp with a permanent option.

Your main responsibilities consist of:

  • Supporting with daily needs
  • Assisting with activities
  • Promoting personal care
  • Observing and reporting on daily movements
  • Ensuring safety and well being at all times
What you'll need to succeed

  • Be a qualified Children's Support Worker with a NVQ level 3 or equivalent experience
  • Must have experience working in a supported living or residential setting
  • Must have experience working with children and young people
  • Experience working with challenging behaviour
  • Ability to take initiative and think on your feet
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
