AskJules are agents for university students with physical disabilities who choose to employ like-minded Personal Assistants (PAs) to provide their personal care.
We are recruiting on behalf of a 19-year-old male who starting University in Birmingham this September.

Pay & Benefits
GBP840 per week worked.
Free accommodation when on shift.
5.6 week's holiday pro rata.
About our Client
  • Sustained a C6/C7 incomplete spinal cord injury due to a mountain bike accident.
  • Manual wheelchair user
  • Loves sports - weight training
  • Very independent and sociable but will also spend time chilling watching Netflix, box sets and TV series.
  • Loves watching films: Japanese dramas, and listen to music.
  • Is bilingual speaking English and Japanese
About the Job
Care is one important aspect of this job role, however, you will be required to provide holistic support to our client by facilitating independence in engaging in activities such as going to see friends, going to parties, the cinema, going on holiday, watching a bit of Netflix and much more!
This job is more of "a big brother" role rather than carer and includes all the fun things you'd expect a 19-year-old to be doing.
Weight Training is a big passion of our client and someone that has an interest in this would be a good match.
You will need to be able to drive as you will be accompanying him on trips out and be happy to work in a variety of different social situations.
Our client knows what needs to be done and can always direct you.
Care experience is not required as full training in our client's requirements will be provided.
About You
You are unlikely to have experience in every aspect of our client's care therefore full training in his particular needs is provided.
  • You will need to be physically fit, calm, patient and caring
  • Have an interest in Sports - Weight Training
  • Good organisational skills and being able to work on your own initiative
  • Have a good sense of humour
  • A mature and responsible attitude
  • You must hold a full clean UK driving license
  • Fluent in English
  • Be clean and tidy in both your appearance and ways.
  • Non-Smoker
  • You must be able to respect our client's privacy and have an understanding of the need for confidentiality in all areas of your work.
