Business Development Manager / Sales Manager / Technical Sales Manager required for exciting opportunity with global leader in industrial automation with facilities across the world.

The UK has sales of circa GBP100 million, they enjoy a customer base consisting of leading multinational businesses and often deliver solutions across multiple sites.

This role offers excellent career progression both within and outside the UK.

Predominantly field based, the offices are Midlands based with a need for circa 1 day a week in the office.

As Business Development Manager / Sales Manager / Technical Sales Manager you will be a key person developing their presence in the food, packaging and related market places.

To excel in this role, you must come from an industrial automation sales environment with excellent knowledge of the FMCG, packaging or related sectors and a track record selling automation machinery e.g. Palletising equipment, Robotics, pick and place, etc. As the first point of contact you will be instrumental in delivering bespoke projects that meet customer expectations, working closely with the Project Management, Design and Proposals teams to deliver appropriate solutions.

What you'll do???

Selling a range of existing Automation and Robotics solutions and generate a new market to provide new lucrative business.
Generate new business with focus on FMCG sector.
Responds to RFP's, tenders, and develops sales in new sales territories.
Utilising your existing network of decision makers to drive growth and forge sustainable relationships.
Planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives.
Increasing the value of current customers while attracting new ones.
Understanding the customer needs to develop a concept that would add value to their business and ultimately lead to increased revenue.

What we're looking for???

Proven Technical Sales/Business Development ability within Industrial Automation sector.
Proven experience in either the FMCG, packaging or related industry sector
Good understanding of potential client needs and ability to identify opportunities for growth.
Existing network of FMCG industry contacts.
Ideally hold an engineering qualification.
German and/or French are a plus.
Availability to travel in EMEA
