We are delighted to be recruiting for an Book Keeper/Accounts Assistant to work for a successful well established family business based in Cradley Heath.

The main duties will be:
  • Sage Line 50/ Sage Payroll/ Microsoft Applications
  • Maintaining accounts, verifying and posting transactions
  • Balancing accounts on a monthly
  • Working closely with accountants to prepare VAT returns and end of year accounts
  • Recording client assets
  • Managing client invoices and payments
  • Bank financing/reconciliation
  • Preparing schedules, statements and reports
  • First point of contact/liaising with clientele
  • Clearing debit notes and raising credit notes
  • Setting up new accounts and credit limits
  • Full responsibility of sales/purchase ledger
  • Managing administration duties for relevant documents

The Ideal Candidate
  • Strong Book Keeping skills and previous experience within a similar role
  • Proficient use of Microsoft office suite and Accounting packages such as, Sage 50 and various online software
  • Ability to multitask accurately and to deadlines, using a logical and methodical approach
  • Possess relevant qualifications, MAAT, Institute of Book Keepers, AAT Level 3 (desirable)
  • Excellent communication skills and relationship building
  • Solid organisation skills and attention to detail
  • Able to work as a team and on own initiative
  • Dedicated, Enthusiastic and Reliable
