DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS & PRODUCTION - Engineered Machined and Cast Component Manufacture

Our Client are a dynamic, successful, profitable and growing SME, based in Kirkbymoorside, North Yorkshire and close to Helmsley and Pickering. Specialising in ground-breaking design and manufacture of the highest quality engineered components, supplying clients operating in a wide variety of sectors and who have recently seen substantial capital investment in operational infrastructure, general plant, equipment, automation and robotics.

Renowned for quality, they have gained an enviable reputation over 50 years for quality of products and the delivery of the highest levels of Customer Care and Service and are in the second phase of impressive capital investment in automation and robotics within their manufacturing environment.

This business is currently witnessing rapid growth and expansion, an exciting opportunity now exists for an experienced Production Professional to join the Company and its Senior Management Team, as Operations Director, and be focused on the effective and efficient management of all Operational Areas, delivering a wide variety of manufactured component products OTIF and in accordance with the AS9100 Quality Standard.

As such, an individual possessing a background in the manufacturing or casting of engineered products may find their exposure useful. However, more important is a technical manufacturing orientation to your career and an ability to effectively manage people and operational resources for the effective delivery of customer and business expectations. If you have experience of manufacturing environments that utilise Automation and Robotics, as well as having been involved in the implementation or upgrade of MRP or manufacturing elements of ERP, this would be beneficial.

Experience in the management and delivery of manufacturing / operational projects, and the use of Project Management tools, would be beneficial.

With the ability to operate effectively as a Senior Manager in an SME environment, you should be personable, a good relationship builder and people manager, highly organised, IT literate and self-motivated.
