An expanding and leading Instrumentation manufacturing company based near Eccleshall in Staffordshire is looking to appoint a Business Administration Apprentice. This is a well-established small business, who are official distributors for three of the leading manufactures in their industry and also manufacture a range of their own products too.

Job Description

To provide an efficient and effective clerical and administrative support service. As this is an Apprentice post the employee will be required to work in various areas and departments throughout the organisation to develop skills, knowledge and experience in all aspects of administration whilst gaining a good understanding of the business.

You will have an assigned trainer who will work with you and carry out all required training. There will be regular meetings where your progress will be reviewed and any further help you feel you may need in order to ensure you are reaching your full potential. This is an excellent opportunity for an Apprentice to gain experience and learn all areas of office work for a small team who will fully support you.

Main Duties you be trained towards

* Quotes - Preparing quotes for customers

* Telephone - Speaking with customers answering any enquiries and taking messages where needed.

* Greeting Visitors - Greeting visitors with a friendly and welcoming approach.

Other Duties (for holiday cover etc.)

* Goods In / Out - Checking all goods in to ensure no damages etc. Preparing customer orders for despatch and arranging courier collections and deliveries

* Purchase Orders - Raising new purchase orders to suppliers and checking off all outstanding purchase orders to ensure we have order acknowledgements from suppliers and no overdue deliveries

* Repairs - Preparing customers repairs to be sent to the engineer and completing the relevant paper work. Checking all analyser repairs are on target to be completed and returned to the customer on time, chasing any repairs which are overdue to get updates.
