Control Systems Engineer
Would you like to work for a successful engineering company who specialise in the design, manufacture and installation of compressors, blowers and vacuum pumps? Working as a Control Systems Engineer you will: Design and edit compressor control system philosophies (Duty/Standby and Lead/Lag) to suit customer's requirements. Program PLC controllers (LOGO and S7's) and manage the companies change to B&R Automation studio (B&R training available). Implement the addition of Iconn, remote condition monitoring hardware (serial and bus coms) to new and existing compressor sets. Create functional descriptions/procedures for specific projects. Produce all electrical schematics and panel drawings required for contracts/ manufacture. Review and advice on electrical panels and wiring. Produce a full range of layout detail drawings and planning documents to contract specifications. To be successful, we're looking for: Strong PLC / Control Systems Engineer background ideally programming Siemens or similar platforms from scratch. The ability to fault find and modify code. A Time served apprenticeship or relevant engineering qualification. An understanding of electrical technical drawings. Excellent problem solving and communication skills. Experience with control panel wiring, Industrial standards and commissioning Benefits: £35,000 to £40,000 pa basic salary with pension and health care plan.
