Are you a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias? Are you looking for a role within a technically challenging and unique manufacturing environment producing specialist products for clients including MOD and large Aerospace companies?

Our client are specialists in the manufacture of specialist hardware components, working within a very niche market, they are renowned for their quality products. Founded 50 years ago, they have become a powerhouse within this bespoke and highly specialised industry. Having started a 3-year programme of renovation across the site, this is a fantastic time to join their team.

The successful Electrically biased Maintenance Engineer will have come from a manufacturing/automated environment, will be logical thinkers and work well within a team. This role will suit a friendly, hard-working Maintenance Engineer with an interest in complex manufacturing processes and robots.

Experience required:

Solid electrical fault diagnosis experience is essential

Previous experience working with grinders, machining centres, ovens, etching machines or chemical lines would be highly advantageous

Must be able to read schematics as well as hydraulic and pneumatic drawings

Must be Apprentice trained (or equivalent, NVQ Level 3/C&G Level 3) in a relevant field (i.e. electrical or mechanical engineering)

Responsibilities will include:

Fault diagnosing using schematics, multimeter and tracing faults back

Replacing contactors, relays, sensors, inverters, making wiring alterations and changing PLC cards

Previous mechanical experience repairing pipework, changing gearboxes and motors

Planned maintenance and continuous improvement project involvement

Working a double day shift (Monday to Friday 6am - 2pm/2pm - 10pm) plus occasional night shift to cover sickness/holiday and overtime every 6th Saturday (paid at x1.5), our client offers a salary of up to GBP35k with a realistic OTE of GBP37k plus benefits including paid overtime, 28 days holiday, 5% company pension, DIS x2, plus excellent opportunities for training and progression.
