The Role:
A global specialist in energy management and automation are looking for a Legal Counsel to join their dynamic legal team based in Telford.

Operating as in-house legal counsel within a fast paced environment, you will need to be a 4+ PQE solicitor, able to come in and hit the ground running. Delivering legal services to UK&I operations as part of the larger regional team, you will operate as a key business partner to provide high quality service and strategic legal support.

Responsibilities will include:

* Preparing and reviewing tenders, contracts and supporting negotiations.
* Preparing templates.
* Providing claims support and oversee litigation.
* Ensuring compliance with applicable laws and group policies.
* Supporting local real estate matters & employment issues.
* Providing training and facilitate our compliance programmes.

Whilst this position is based in the Telford office, there will be a small amount of travel involved to other UK offices and client meetings. However, this is expected to be 90% based in the office with only 10% travel.
It is vital that the successful candidate has a proactive outlook on their work with fantastic interpersonal skills, excellent organisational skills and is passionate about delivering solutions via their legal expertise.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* A fully qualified lawyer authorized to practice in the UK or Ireland with a Master/Bachelor of Laws degree or equivalent and at least 4 years' PQE in commercial and/or construction law, and preferably in a Construction, Oil & Energy, or Renewables & Environment sector.
* Fluent in English (written and verbal) and PC literate.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
* In-house experience is preferred although not essential.
