Finished Vehicle Distribution UK Network Co-ordinator - Baddesley

RMS Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Co-ordinator to join the Finished Vehicle Distribution department for our client, a prestigious, global automotive logistics company based in Baddesley, West Midlands.

The successful candidate will be part of the team responsible for the movement of finished company vehicles, from receipt at the three manufacturing plants to 1000+ dealers in UK & Europe and customers in over 140+ markets worldwide, The UK Operations team are a key element within the department, responsible for the planning and effective distribution of circa 450k p.a. company Vehicles across multiple shifts from plants and ports throughout the UK.

Key Responsibilities :

FVD UK Operational interface to transport service providers, building and developing mutually beneficial business relationships, issuing KPI reports, supporting daily operational audios and supporting weekly performance meetings
Provide weekly and monthly volume forecast to enable the accurate and efficient utilisation of service provider resources
Analyse and interrogate daily carrier performance and measure against forecast, providing support and feedback to deliver continuous improvements enabling mutually beneficial business improvements
Developing excellent relationships with the UK dealer network to ensure FVD UK Ops meet or exceed customer expectations
Manage and maintain FVD UK stock integrity using company inventory control software and supporting physical stock counts, investigating and highlighting all discrepancies to Management and taking any necessary corrective action
Monitor 30, 60, 90 day checks reports, issued by TQM and escalate non-conformance
Monitor and manage Stop Ship notifications and Hold
Support overall sustainable transport strategy plans for new model launch, interfacing with FVD NML Strategy teams
Manage all Non-Standard Vehicle movements, capturing all data for future analysis
Contain, control and report, all FVD UK and ROC damage to vehicles
Control export returns and self-collections at FVD UK and ROC, ensuring correct process and procedures are adhered to, including standards and cost analysis
Monitor monthly and end of year Wholesale targets to influence market prioritisation
Maintain dealer Cl codes relating 042 systems
Identify areas for Continuous Improvement to all existing process

To be considered for this position all applicants must be able to demonstrate the following experience and competencies

Computer literate (Microsoft Packages) particularly Excel
Possess a good understanding of transport operations
Good geographical knowledge
Display a positive attitude with a fastidious eye and attention to detail
Ability to build professional relationships and influence at all levels
Excellent, confident communication skills both verbally and in writing at all levels
Possess a customer focused approach
Possess a high level of self- motivation and determination and organisation, manage changing priorities whilst maintaining focus and drive
Ability to perform well and responsibly when under pressure with the ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
Full UK driving licence and prepared to travel

Hours of Work

40 hours per week between 8.00am and 6.00pm


Negotiable dependant on experience, to be discussed at point of interview
