Our client is a well-established leader in their field. Having successfully completed a merger with a large, complementary and international business over the last year or so, the group is now focussed on growth, both organic and via acquisition. They now seek to appoint a driven C# .Net enthusiast to join their busy, ambitious software team.

As Senior Software Engineer you take a leading role in the development of their automation control and analytical software, designing, building and updating the software within a scrum environment.

Working within the software team using an agile methodology you will be involved in the complete software development cycle, from analysis, coding and deployment of the products. Experience working with customers and communicating with suppliers would be advantageous, as you would be expected to support the products and solve any problems related to software or systems.

Key Skills
  • Strong experience with windows programming in C# .Net and C++.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Team Foundation server (TFS) and Unit testing.
  • Technically minded.
  • Strong written and verbal interpersonal skills, including communication with staff and customers, establishing good relationships internally and externally.
  • When needed, take on the role of team leader of a software team, providing team leadership and design direction as appropriate to the size of project.
  • Strong interest in the latest technology.
  • BSc Hons in Computing or other related degrees highly desirable.
  • Good understanding of modern software architecture and approaches.
  • Assist in the Training, Mentoring and supporting less experienced members of the software team.
  • Result driven with customer products, whilst having the ability to think outside of the norm, acting as an end user ensuring that key product quality indicatiors i.e. ease of use, robustness and speed of the products are met.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented and able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
