Allstaff Recruitment have the pleasure of working with a new and dynamic company, who are looking to recruit a Registered Children's Home Manager to join their growing team.
This role is being offered on a full time, permanent basis working 42 hours a week, plus on-call, where necessary, with a salary of GBP37,000 to GBP42,000 per annum (depending on experience).
As the Registered Home Manager, your duties will include:
  • Managing and monitoring systems within the home, ensuring the home is compliant with National Minimum Care Standards, the children's homes regulations and all other relevant legislation.
  • Ensuring the staff team understand their job roles and responsibilities and their accountability, and that staff feel supported by the management, and feel valued.
  • Developing and sustaining effective working relationships with the local community, colleagues and other agencies.
  • Responsibility for the effective and efficient use of the physical and financial resources.
  • Developing a new staff team and responsibility for their induction and in-house training.
  • Preparing and managing the staff rota.
  • Managing the home and secure referrals for placements, ensuring close working relationships with professionals in local authority placement teams.
In order to apply for this role, you will need to have a Level 5 NVQ qualification relevant to Children & Young people or an equivalent qualification and to have worked within an environment caring for children and young adults with learning disabilities within the last 2 years. This position also requires the candidate to have a full driving licence.
