The employer is a global engineering group specializing in extreme environment products and smart sub-systems for aerospace, defense and energy markets.

  • Manage the efficient running of the Global Service Desk and Service Delivery teams based in the UK, USA, France & Switzerland.
  • Advises and influences at the highest level, regarding delivery, costs, availability and functionality of services and systems
  • Develops effective partnerships, based on mutual interest for future development. Develops and maintains effective relationships with management and Stakeholders in all parts of the business
  • Negotiates Service Level Agreements and performance metrics with Stakeholders and internal customers
  • Takes overall responsibility for the financial and staffing aspects of operational management, service and project management as well as the full range of technical considerations involved
  • Manages the implementation of business systems and IT controls to measure performance and manage risk
  • Takes account of current and future trends, contributes to policy making at the highest level
  • Maintains awareness of good practice frameworks, including capability and maturity models and standards
  • Prioritising workload and ensuring incident and requests are dealt within agreed service levels.
  • Responsible for major incident management across the global business.
  • Working with key third party vendors to maintain service levels and minimise disruption.
  • Setup the service design and transition function
