Part of the Workshop Production Team, championing best practise in our Joinery facility, promoting Health and Safety, setting excellent quality standards, achieving key performance indicators (KPI's) and helping to improve our enviable position in the Heritage and Cultural fit out sector.

In your role as Workshop Joiner you will:

Ensure that Health, Safety and Environmental legislation and procedures are adhered to.

Assist with the correct and safe operation of the workshop department.

Provide support to the Workshop Foreman and Team Leaders in the organising of machines, materials, equipment & manning to meet production schedule - includes responding to changes to plan & emergencies.

Ensure that the highest standards of quality are achieved while adhering to our QMS protocols and meeting all deadlines.

Maintain good levels of timekeeping & attendance.

Maintain effective employee relationships & communications.

Ensure that housekeeping standards are maintained & that waste is controlled & disposed of properly.

Assist with the training of production personnel in all safety, quality & job skill requirements.

Support all departments in a collaborative manner ensuring good communication.

Be an organised self motivated individual.

As Workshop Joiner at The Hub you will need:

Ability to read detailed product drawings and plans.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in a team driven environment.

The ability to solve problems and make decisions using your own initiative.

The desire to succeed and be resilient under pressure.

Commercial awareness.

Ability to work independently or within a team.

Willing to lead by example.

Good work ethic.

An understanding of the company products.

Knowledge of company procedures such as Health & Safety, Time and Attendance etc.

Ability to maintain several diverse activities at the same time.

Relevant qualifications or experience pertaining to the role.

The contract hours are 8am - 3:30pm Monday to Friday but due to workload actual hours are usually more. There may also be a requirement to work some weekends.
