The Client: A manufacturer of innovative products for the consumer goods market

The Role: The compliance manager is responsible for ensuring the integrity of all manufactured products with respect to engineering specifications, national / international standards and applicable regulations / legislation. All control, monitoring and test systems / teams will be administered by the compliance manager as a key member of the engineering department.

Key Responsibilities:

-Definition, scheduling and co-ordination of quality control and testing activates
-Resource planning and allocation to ensure quality and consistency of service to the production facility
-Document, record and compliance system management
-Setting relevant best practice guidelines as the expert in related areas of compliance
-Internal and external management and audit systems
-Procurement and customer specification activities

Required Capabilities/ Experience

-Management level compliance background from within the production environment
-Confident, reliable specification / standards interpretation
-Proven project management experience
-Good communication skills are required to interface with all required departments / areas / 3rd parties
-Team or department management / leadership / motivational skills
-The ability to implement systems, schedules and processes, working within real-world constraints
-Proficient interrogation of engineering drawings / CAD
-Relevant senior / management level experience and preferable academic qualification to degree level
-Experience of supporting the manufacturing environment
-Leadership & management qualification or training evidence
-Experience with polymer materials and injection moulding would be an advantage
-Excellent working knowledge of standard Microsoft products (Excel / Word, Outlook)
-Exposure to national and international standards, safe working practices and legislative guidelines
-PTC Windchill or comparable PLM system knowledge
-JD Edwards or standard MRP/ERP software experience
