My client is a stand out venue, centrally located in the heart of the Midlands and offering 2 floors of conference halls, suites and meeting rooms, an on-site production company, a catering company and three hotels.

They are currently looking to recruit a Sales Manager

This is an energetic, autonomous and intelligent client-facing sales role in the national events industry. It encompasses both account management and business development with a purpose to manage and convert new and repeat business to hit or exceed in financial year and three forward financial year revenue targets for venue hire alongside the associated revenue generation responsibility for food and beverage, production and hotel accommodation.

Duties & responsibilities to include:

Enquiry management
Venue tours
Networking & business development events
Competitor research & awareness
Venue, product, service & destination knowledge
Off-site business development, appointments/drops & telesales
Account management & client care
Contract management & event handovers

Person specification:

Ideally have venue, events industry, service industry or hospitality related & proven sales experience
Competitive & passionate about the industry & the product/services on offer
Drive & energy - the role is revenue targeted & client led so you need to be driven and possess a consistent energy and determination to succeed
Perceptive talented negotiator, persuader & influencer
Communication - excellent verbal, written, presentation & inter-personal skills
Legal knowledge - comprehend and adhere to internal/external relevant obligations such as GDPR & The Bribery Act
IT literate - proficient in word, excel, email & databases
Full clean driving license & access to a car as national travel is a requirement of this role
