Our product range comprises of clay bricks, Thermalite blocks, aggregate blocks, Red Bank chimney, roofing and flue systems, precast concrete and flooring products and Formpave permeable paving.

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team in the position of Site Quality Controller at Hams Hall.

The Role

This position will provide direction and control of all site quality activities.

* Take an active part in the sites quality.

* Reporting of the site's conformity to the national standards.

* To have an active involvement in the monitoring of the manufacturing process.

* Deal with customer complaints.

* Carry out measuring and testing of the Aircrete product range and raw materials.

* Administer / maintain systems

* Update procedures and train site personnel

* Complete internal audits / and facilitate external audits

* To work closely with the Plant Manager, Production Manager, Shift Managers, Yard Manager, SHE Coordinator, Engineering Manager, Operational Support Manager, Quality Assurance Manager and Product and Process Development Team.

The Candidate

* Process routine samples through the laboratory in accordance with procedures and timescales.

* Process Quarantine samples through the laboratory in accordance with procedures and timescales.

* Maintain and facilitate entropy system - Non-conformances / action plans and tasks / calibration.

* Attend site daily meetings and supply information concerning site issues / KPI's.

* Test raw materials for conformity / record and report issues if found.

* Monitor and report on site waste providing solutions for resolution

* To comply with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and to observe the requirements of the Company Safety Policy and other relevant legislation.

* Challenge non-conformance against SQCDP criteria set by the Quality assurance/control teams against any breach or non-conformity

* Communicate effectively the priorities to enable Engineering and Production to align on quality maintenance aspects

* To comply will all aspects of the HR Policies and Procedures of the Company.
