Sales Account Manager - Cosford - 19,000/21,000

Are you a strong Sales Account Manager looking for a Part Time role in the Cosford area of Shropshire. If so this could be the perfect role for you.

Our client is looking for somebody to join their highly successful team on a Part Time basis, working c20 hours per week.

Sales Account Manager - Role purpose:
To identify and develop client relationships through a proactive sales approach, seeking new business opportunities within the stand alone banqueting, conference and banqueting, meetings and small meetings market at our clients supreme venue based in Cosford.

You will also be responsible for identifying marketing opportunities at the venue for increased sales.

Key Responsibilities:
• Effectively plan for future sales activities based on agreed KPI's and to meet individual event revenue sales target to be agreed.
• Continuous identification of prospective clients from within the regional stand alone banqueting market and destination venues and formulate a business plan for establishing contact and initial discussions.
• Prepare detailed presentation documentation alongside the Strategic Marketing Manager which highlights the benefits and value proposition of event facilities to meet client's needs.
• Identify marketing opportunities at the venues for increased sales.
• Submit outline proposals for marketing spend at the venue in line with corporate plan and in agreement with the marketing and communications manager.
• Track and report on marketing activity commissioned for the venue.
• Influence client decisions through effective negotiation and excellent customer focus to gain new business.
• Develop client relationships through proactive initiatives and creative business proposals.
• Work closely with the management team and catering team to ensure that the event proposition is effectively sold and maximised.
• Plan in regular client meetings to continue to grow the business relationships and develop long term viability partnerships.
• Conduct monthly sales meetings with venue clients to report on activity and discuss future business opportunities.
• Actively input into the overall business planning, by providing accurate forecasting of future business activities.
• Work closely with the Catering Operations Manager and assist and support when necessary with projects and tender submissions.
• Maintain and promote an effective CRM system using EBMS


Proven experience within a client focused sales role with similar target levels.
• Ability to actively manage own diary and time to maximise sales.
• Experience of the Destination Venue market.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
• Effective business planning.
• Innovative and creative approach to sales generation.
• Ability to self manage and be pro-active in role.
• Ability to make a full contribution to the team and be an active team member.
