Trainee Accounts Administrator

Pave Aways Limited is a successful privately-owned construction business based near Oswestry, Shropshire.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Trainee Accounts Administrator. We are looking for a confident and ambitious individual to join our busy finance team. The successful candidate will be articulate with excellent written skills. Minimum English and Maths GCSE 4-9 required. A good knowledge of Microsoft Office. The role will be varied, with the main responsibility to support the finance team. Apprentice level year 1 pay. Day release to attend College, the course will be dependent on experience. 28 days holiday inclusive of public holidays.

Due to our office location, it is essential you have access to transport.

Hours: 9.00am – 5.30pm – Monday – Thursday / 9.00am – 4.30pm – Friday

Role

To support the accounts department with a wide range of administration duties including but not limited to:

  • Matching delivery tickets to supplier invoices
  • Filing supplier invoices once payment has been made
  • Chasing missing delivery tickets
  • Scanning invoices for waste and putting in relevant job file on the server
  • Filing site diaries and material received
  • Monitoring, ordering and putting away stationery and ink cartridges
  • Filing job contracts, maintaining the register
  • Sorting and filing supplier delivery tickets
  • Booking MOT’s and tax for company vehicles
  • Managing vehicle mileage and keeping spreadsheet up to date
