Our client, a market leading engineering organisation based in Wolverhampton has an exciting new vacancy within their IT Department, as an IT Technician. You will report into the IT Manager and are responsible for assisting users via the helpdesk.
This opportunity allows for a passionate IT professional to develop, with a hands on approach. The IT Manager will offer his time to provide support, helping you to learn about the helpdesk role, cloud based software's and their specialised in-house ERP systems.

Key Duties Include - IT Technician
??Supporting users via the helpdesk.
??Diagnose and solve problems in relation to hardware and the relevant business systems in use.
??Carrying out certain set tasks in relation to the current ERP system.
??Maintaining the company network infrastructure.
??Technical support where required for external entities.
??(Ideally owns a driving license).
-A minimum of 2 years' experience in an IT support-based environment. (1st line support, Helpdesk, IT Technician)
-Proficient in the use of Microsoft packages
This will include involvement in maintaining IT systems that allow the processing of confidential customer and supplier data as well as helping all internal staff utilise available business systems and applications, providing help as and where required.
You will also be required to make sure that all documentation in relation to the tasks that you carry out as well as certain processes and procedures that you will be tasked with are maintained and up to date. Essentially as part of the role, you will be tasked with assisting the users in accomplishing their daily duties via the helpdesk. A certain level of flexibility is required as when major issues develop or during some major projects that have set deadlines, some out of hours work will be required. You may also be required to participate in activities at one or more other group sites.
