We are looking for a Logistics Supervisor to deliver service excellence through an efficient, legally compliant and cost-effective logistics department.

Within this role, you will ensure vehicle and driver compliance with O licence, site, EU and other legal requirements, monitoring, analysing TMS2 data and ensuring corrective action is implemented to continuously improve the working environment.

Deputising for the Logistics Manager during periods of absence and providing relief cover for Drivers when needed, you will ensure drivers deliver high levels of customer service, risk assessments are undertaken and implemented on customer premises for major changes / new business, Health & Safety regulations are adhered to and driver compliance with site EN14065 standard, i.e. drivers disinfect vehicles every day.

Additionally, you will develop, propose and agree functional budgets with Logistics Manager, monitoring and controlling all activities in accordance with the agreed functional budget, investigating and resolving any variances.

With previous supervisory experience and a good attention to detail, you will have a C1 Licence as minimum (and ideally HGV2), CPC and experience of implementing continuous improvement programmes.

With Leadership and People Management skills; recruitment, motivation, PDR process, coaching, disciplinary/grievance, performance management, absence management etc. you will have a can do attitude and the ability to analyse data and interpret the information effectively to continuously improve the department and/or team.

Experience of lean (Six Sigma) implementation in lean manufacturing systems would be beneficial, as would Health & Safety regulation exposure in a previous role.
