We have an exciting opportunity for a Buyer to join a leading provider of Specialist Electronics Manufacturing Solutions (EMS), based in Newcastle-under-Lyme. This role offers a salary of GBP20-22k depending on experience working 7.45am-4.45pm Mon-Thu and 7.45am-12.45pm on Fridays!!
As Buyer you will be responsible for purchasing in line with MRP demand. You will be performing analysis from the MRP demand and placing orders in line with demand and time horizons. You will ensure all purchase orders are received and acknowledged, and ensure timely receipt of inventory. You will also be required to maintain the database, and deal with suppliers to ensure quotes are received within a set timescale.
Ideally you will have purchasing experience within an electrical manufacturing company, with excellent numerical skills and good communication and organisational skills. Attention to detail is very important, as well as the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. Good IT skills including Word and Excel are required along with some knowledge of MRP/ ERP systems.
