The Client

Our client is a leading firm for delivering environmental services across the industry. The firm provides a full range of environmental services for local government, housing associations, universities, schools, national retailers, NHS trusts, the hotel and leisure industry, demolition and construction companies, manufacturing, logistics and commercial businesses.

The Role

Designing and undertaking occupational air monitoring programmes across a wide range of industries.

Undertaking occupational noise assessments.

Carrying out investigations of client sites to determine cause and solutions to instances of "sick building" syndrome.

Local exhaust ventilation assessments.

COSHH assessments.

Offering consultancy to clients on how to improve workplace environments, following on from monitoring programmes.


The successful candidate must hold the following qualifications and be able to demonstrate the following:

Hold relevant BOHS certificates (W501, W503, W507)

Recent experience of working in a similar role

Commercial awareness and ability to liaise with clients to produce quotes for projects
Excellent MS Office and Excel skills
Excellent communication skills, including production of written reports
Experience of working as part of a team

Ability to self-manage when working alone

The successful candidate must hold a full Driving Licence

The business is specifically looking for someone to work as part of their SHE department who can work within the team to further build and strengthen the services that the company can offer to the client base. The successful candidate will also receive in-house and further qualifications relating to the services that the company offer to their clients.

The working hours are typically a 40 hour week. Although part time applicants will be considered, who are able to work 3 or 4 days a week with some degree of flexibility to suit the needs of the business and the client's.

Salary is negotiable dependent upon qualifications and experience.

The company also offer as part of the package a company car, company paid healthcare (long service award applies) company pension into which the company contributes 2% of qualifying earnings (rising to 3% in Apr 19), 22 days' holiday (long service award applies) plus 8 statutory bank holidays plus contractual sick pay.

The successful candidate shall also be given opportunity to undertake further qualifications.
