Site Agent/Manager (water)

We're now inviting applications for this attractive new position in Birmingham, working for a client with an outstanding reputation. Due to an extensive period of growth, they are now able to extend their team of Site Agents to work in partnership with Severn Trent.

Applicants with leadership potential are particularly urged to apply.

Working for a leading civil engineering and construction company, employing more than 1,600, you'll benefit from their firm commitment to employee training and development. This company spent GBP1 million to offer 33,500 hours of training in the last year alone.

Benefits

This equal opportunity employer welcomes applicants from all sectors of the community and are happy to make the role fit for the right person.

Benefits include an excellent pension scheme, competitive salary + CA, 26 days' holiday, Bupa healthcare after 3 months, wellbeing package including counselling/massage, life assurance and income protection, as well as access to discounts and cash back schemes. Plus you'll be working with a fantastic team in a thriving business.

Must-haves

If you've helped to head up multiple value sites in past roles, have proven to bosses and colleagues that you can organise, guide and motivate a small team (made up of site operatives and contract staff) towards a quality end product, you could be just what we're looking for. You'll be a great communicator, who can make friendly requests and keep things moving without demotivating your team.

IT skilled with good programming ability, MS Project is a breeze for you and you'll embrace the chance to show others what you can do. You'll be drawing on the expertise of designers, quantity surveyors, client project managers and client operations staff, so the ability to liaise with a range of different trades is key. Up-to-date with current environmental and health & safety legislation, you'll feel confident in implementing what you know for the smooth running for the site.

Nice-to haves

Some Waste/Clean Water experience would be an advantage, but is not as important as a positive outlook and a liking for getting the job done. A real member of the team, you can turn up and get things moving, delegating tasks to colleagues and keeping everyone motivated. A degree of environmental awareness is a plus, as is knowledge of working to contract.
