Our market leading client has an excellent opportunity for an Insurance Accounts Administrator to join their team. This is an exciting new development within a client that has sustained growth and career opportunities and the potential for excellent career prospects within their business.

The role of the Insurance Accounts Administrator is to support Managing Director with the insurer accounts and payments and issuing invoices as needed.


* Ensure accuracy of internal accounting records for insurers are kept up to date

* Reconcile the accounts from the monies being paid by the Insured and then settling the Insurers accounts/invoices on a monthly basis

* Ensure the accurate and timely recording of all accounting entries and the speedy resolution of any identified errors

* To contribute to the overall success of the company by ensuring that the working environment is kept functioning at a high standard within budget constraints

* Ensure all Health, Fire & Safety procedures and records are kept up to date

* All building & contents issues identified and remedied, if unable to rectify reported to senior management

* Risk assessments carried out on regular basis and all findings reported and remedied as soon as possible.

Be aware and understand the company's compliance policies and procedures and ensure full compliance with those relevant to the role.


* A thorough knowledge of the company's accounting systems and procedures

* A thorough understanding of book-keeping practices and of the banking process.

IT Skills:

* Accurate data input skills

* SSP input knowledge

* Acturist knowledge

* Full knowledge of company operating systems linked to your role

* MS word

* MS Outlook

* Excel

Standards of Performance:

* Minimal complaints from customers and where complaints are received they are dealt with efficiently and timely

* All insurers and other suppliers paid on time

* Build and maintain a good relationship with all colleagues, clients and other contacts

* Entries onto the computer system are timely and accurate

* All work carried out complies with the company's procedures and within the regulatory framework

* The working environment is maintained at a satisfactory level.

Working Hours: Part Time - 20 Hours per week
