We are looking to find the right person to join our established pension projects team in Bromsgrove. Could it be you?

The Pension Administration practice area undertakes continual improvement processes and adapts software introduced by the IT development teams for internal use by staff. Senior Project Specialists will work with practice area administration teams, software development teams and project stakeholders to ensure the resultant products are delivered to meet the aims of the project within agreed timescales and costs.

Senior Project Specialists are also required to work on non-IT related projects and could be required to work externally for client specific projects.

The role

Some of the responsibilties of the role will involve the following:
  • Provide administrative support for the project management team to support the delivery and implementation of projects within agreed timescales
  • Track project deliverables
  • Assist with preparing project reports and documentation (client facing or internal)
  • Baseline and store project documentation for approval using standard Barnett Waddingham project templates
  • Contribute specialist expertise
  • Communicate with Stakeholders
  • Handle requests for information and data and prepare responses to project queries
  • Research and development of solutions to new or unknown issues, including testing of new procedures / systems and making recommendations
  • Reference to the Senior Project Specialist clients can refer to internal or external stakeholders (clients/trustees) to whom they are providing technical support and project management
  • Communicate and attend meetings with clients, providers and prospects, as required
  • Deputise for the Project Manager as agreed and liaise with Stakeholders / Team Specialists

The person

Are you an experienced pension project specialist with a strong understanding of project management concepts and of Microsoft Office programmes, in particular Excel, Word and Outlook?

Do you have an understanding of software testing and proven organisational skills?

Can you demonstrate good technical writing skills?

In terms of qualifications, you'll ideally be educated to degree level with but will need to demonstrate GCSE (or equivalent) Grade C or above in Maths and English as a minimum If you have QPA or progress with other relevant PMI qualifications, it would be an advantage.
