Nelson Engineering Solutions are proud to be representing their client, who is a leading global provider of communication technology and software solutions for environments where communication is critical, they are now looking to add a Service & Commissioning Engineer to work remotely.

The successful candidate will have experience with digital and IP technology.

Package:

* Competitive Salary of GBP25,000-GBP35,000 depending on experience.

Responsibilities:

* Provide an excellent level of service to meet the expectations and requirements of all of our customers, whilst establishing and maintaining effective relationships with customers.

* To install, service and commission the appropriate systems; dismantle and install equipment as specified by the contract. Work safely and responsibly to avoid injuries, damage to property, loss of unused materials and cleans up installation debris.

* Manage the efficient use of own or sub-contractor labour, taking into account the proximity, the skills of the sub-contractor, and the timing of the installation.

* Install, monitor and supervise (where required) the installation work to ensure it meets the Company standards and is in line with the contract specification & maintaining existing systems.

* Commission, with assistance as required, the systems being managed and liaise with the system designers to resolve technical issues which may impact on programme completion.

* Assist the Sales team with installation or commissioning costs / programme for proposed new systems, assist sales with site surveys and witness test operation of system to the end user.

* Ensure the installation or modification meets customer, health and safety and statutory requirements.

* Correctly complete Engineer work reports, handover certificates or checklist as appropriate and willingness to accept technical tuition, provided by the company in any of our training facilities.

To be successful you will need:

* Appropriate experience in a customer facing environment

* Time served within a technical environment such as nurse call, fire or security.

* Must possess sound electrical knowledge and have proven background through recognised apprenticeship or hold similar qualification.

* Experience within an IT Networking environment

* Ability to understand and follow proper schematic wiring diagrams

* Hold an up to date DBS Certificate and a valid CSCS / ECS card.

* Full clean UK Driving License and ability to travel often (UK & EU), including overnight stays as required

* Ability to lift, carry and climb ladders. To carry equipment etc., up and down ladders ensuring conformance to health and safety requirements. Ability to use power tools to install, repair and/or dismantle equipment.
